CLEAR POST IT NOTES!!
Now, I am terribly amused that many people in the comments of this post are upset that the postits aren't recycle-able, without even finding out that they are, in fact, recycle-able.
I am one who HATES to write in books, it's just a SACRILEGE to me, but there are occasions where it's necessary, and besides, they're just COOL. :-D

...went to Fry's to get a little hard drive to replace Cat's, as we thought it was going out (wasn't come to find out, but that's another issue)...
The SMALLEST FREAKIN' IDE drive I could buy was 320 GB.
::headdesk::
And it cost me well under $100. My worldview just degaussed.

Prints out a card that you can put in your wallet that will replace up to 8 of the cards or keytags for all the rewards memberships you have.
VERY cool.

I just can't decide... the colors they have in stock now aren't my faves. I want something loud, but the only thing loud they have is bubblegum pink. Normally I'd just get the dark blue and be done with it... BUT... I really want something loud. If I HAVE to use the damned crutches & canes, I want them to stand out.
Maybe pink isn't so bad... ;-)

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when Steven, a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.
The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As all men will.) Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00...... on one condition"
Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, And then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, Which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly And meaningfully said....
"Clean my house."

Well, my dear friend who only existed on Y!360 finally had enough of 360's crap and moved to Multiply. So I set up shop over here, and was pleased to find out that Multiply has cross posting capability with LJ. What I post here at Multiply is supposed to show up on LJ, and vice versa. Now, apparently f-locked posts on LJ come to Multiply with a private setting, so I have to come unlock them so my Multiply contacts can see them, but that's better than the Y!360, which had zero interoperability. This test is to see what happens with the LJ security when I post a contacts only (f-list) post from Multiply. Later I'll run a test post through the other direction from FishNet and make sure that works.
This rocks!
Went for a cleaning this morning. Ended up staying all morning, because one of my teeth with the oh-my-gods-huge filling had gotten decay started behind it. We had to find out if I was in for a root canal or not.
Thankfully, not. But, I get a crown. Temporary in place now (I'll spare the details, but once again crow that while my dentist doesn't have a lot of chair-side manner, he gives the best numbing Ive ever had) and new crown to go in Jan 22. W00t.
Back at work, trying to get a handle on everything that needs done before I take off for 3 weeks. ::headdesk::

65 words
Intriguing. I haven't taken a typing test in a long time, and not since I switched to Dvorak. I at one time was up around 75-80 on QWERTY, before my carpal tunnel surgeries. I decided to switch to Dvorak, and it has been TONS easier on my hands... but I didn't know if I'd really gotten my speed back up to anything respectable. 65 ain't bad. I haven't really worked at it, and could probably break 80 with some daily practice on Mavis Beacon or somesuch. But unless I decide to pursue that career in medical transcription, it's just not that big of a deal! :-)

4100.
That's the number of words per day I now need to write in order to make NaNoWriMo.
I got home from church yesterday intending to knock out as many words as I could and try to catch up, but I was tired and run down and just vegged in front of the TV.
So. 4100.
Doable?
Maybe.
No. There is no try. There is do or do not.
I'm going to do it. I may end up making up a bunch of time while I'm off for T-Day, but I'm going to do it, by gods. 4100 isn't THAT much, really. I knocked off 800 in about 20 minutes. 4100 is only a couple of hours a day.
::headdesk::
ETA:I am feeling the need to defend myself with all the reasons I haven't been writing. But I know that I am the only person I need to defend myself to. The reasons were really good ones, up to the 12th - after that they get pretty lame. But it's me that's doing the judging. Hm. Must think about that.

Review: Desert Design Knitz, Inc.
5100 Belt Line Rd. #716, Dallas, TX 75254
Overall, my impressions are that Desert Design Knitz is a niche shop, catering to a specific clientele and not the general knitter. I didn't get the "sit down and knit a while" feeling that I like to see in a knitting shop, and many of the basics just aren't there. You can certainly find some fabulous yarns there, and I got the feeling that if Berocco makes it, Desert Designs has it.
